Your details,handled simply.

What we collect

When you book or request a quote — on the booking form or through the chat assistant — we receive the journey you describe (pickup, destination, date and time, passengers, luggage, vehicle and any notes), the contact details you give us — your name, email address and, if you choose to add it, a phone number — and how you would like to pay.

Why, and where it goes

Those details are emailed to us at royalbaronchauffeurs@gmail.com so we can reply with availability, the right vehicle and a quote. They are passed to our inbox by an email-forwarding service (FormSubmit), which delivers the message and does not use it for anything else. The website does not keep a database of requests. We use your details only to answer your request and arrange your journey; they are not sold, shared for marketing or added to a mailing list. Booking confirmations and receipts are sent from our Gmail account (royalbaronchauffeurs@gmail.com).

Payments

Online payments are handled by Stripe, a licensed payment provider. You enter your card details on Stripe's own secure pages; they never pass through or are stored on our website, and we never see your full card number. To take the payment and issue your tax invoice, Stripe receives your name, email address, the booking reference and the journey details, and keeps the payment record as the law requires. Stripe's handling of your details is covered by its own privacy policy, and it may use them to prevent fraud. We keep payment and invoice records for as long as Australian tax law requires (generally five years).

Your location

The website can use your current location to fill in the pickup address, but only when you ask it to or allow it when your browser asks. It is used once, to find the nearest street address, and is not stored or tracked.

Address lookup and maps

As you type an address, what you have typed is sent to an address service (OpenStreetMap-based, or Google or Mapbox where configured) to suggest Melbourne addresses. The map for dropping a pin is drawn with OpenStreetMap tiles.

WhatsApp and phone

WhatsApp opens only when you tap a WhatsApp button, with a message ready for you to read; nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp. Messages there are covered by WhatsApp's own privacy terms.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses no cookies, analytics or advertising trackers for visitors, and keeps nothing about your request in your browser. The one thing your browser remembers is that you have visited before, so the new-customer welcome is shown only once; it holds nothing about you. Stripe's payment pages set their own cookies, for security and fraud prevention. The site is hosted by Hostinger, whose servers keep short-lived technical logs, and recent request counts are held briefly in memory to stop spam.

Overseas services

Some of the services above — Stripe, Gmail, FormSubmit and the address services — may store or process your details outside Australia, including in the United States. We use them only for the purposes described here.

Seeing, correcting or removing your details

Email us at royalbaronchauffeurs@gmail.com or call +61 494 689 961 and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — except payment and invoice records, which the law requires us to keep. We reply within 30 days.

Concerns

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, tell us first and we will put it right. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (1300 363 992).
